Last Tuesday, after I grocery shopped and put everything up, I did not feel like cooking. I am sure many of you can relate to this. We’ve been trying to eat a little better, so I also knew I did not want take-out. I remembered I had bought a few things for times like this. See below…..
Less than 10 minutes, less than 300 calories, less than 20 carbs, 10 points on WW, less than $10! Delicious! Husband approved!
What do you do when you don’t feel like cooking but also don’t want to eat out? What did you have that was taste recently?
Hi all! Happy Monday! Just like Monday is a state of mind, so is positivity. We all get to choose what our state of mind is when approaching any day or situation.
I deal with situations on most days in which I have to make the decision to put on my positive pants. It really helps the outcome be much better than my brain originally imagined. For example, I work in a pharmacy part-time. There is this one particular patient that is always grumpy and honestly a little nasty. After my first two encounters with him, I decided that I would be over the top nice to him in the future because I didn’t know what he might be going through. The next few times I saw him, I smiled big and very excitedly greeted him, thanked him for his visit, etc. After a few weeks had passed, I saw him exiting the pharmacy as I was enetering, and he smiled at me and waved! It was very touching and made my day!
Is there a specific day of the week or situation you are dealing with that you need to adjust your mindset? Are you choosing to wear your positivity pants today? I would love your input on this topic. How has changing your mindset/state of mind helped change the outcome of a particular situation?
Good morning! I woke up to 63° weather this morning, so I’m enjoying my coffee outside! It is Florida, though, so it won’t last I’ll enjoy what I can.
I wanted to pop by with a quick update. I know I’ve been MIA. Anyone who knows me knows that I believe the more times you try, the better chance you have to succeed. It’s when you stop trying that you fail. With that said, I did restart healthier eating for weight loss on the 6th and am done 5lbs. I do plan to start posting my habit & goal tracking again soon and plan to participate in Blogtober again this year!
I am as determined as ever to reach my goal no matter how many times I have to try. I do plan to meet my weight goal by the end of 2023, though!
As always, I would love to hear from you! What are you working on? Do you have any end of year goals?
I’m a little shocked that this year is over halfway over! I still have things I want to achieve this year, how about you?
The last week of July got away from me, but I refuse to give up. I know that I can become a better version of myself. I’m making some minor tweaks to last month’s goals and habits, then will carry them over to this month. I will post August’s plan soon.
I’d love to hear from you. What are you working on?
I hope 2023 is treating you all well! For me, it has been good, but very busy. I had to give myself grace in some areas so I didn’t get overwhelmed. Now that things seem like they are settling and I’m feeling more comfortable, it is time to restart my health journey!
Below is a peek at what I’m working on…
I decided to make monthly goals, break those goals into smaller steps, and only plan one week at a time. I can reevaluate each week to see what worked and what didn’t, then readjust accordingly.
How do you goal plan? How do you track your progress? I look forward to hearing from you and sharing July’s Journey with you!
As we enter a New Year, we usually reflect on the last year. We think about what we’ve accomplished, what we failed at, who we spent it with, the memories we made, and what we could have done differently. Sometimes, we set goals for the next year or make resolutions. Other times, we look at past years’ broken resolutions or abandoned goals.
If you do any of the above, I encourage you to do so with love, kindness, forgiveness, and understanding for yourself. Remember to acknowledge all of your accomplishments, no matter how large or small. Speak to yourself the way you would a friend.
Remember that you can always start or try again, as many times as necessary. Success can only happen if we start or try. True failure happens when we never begin or completely give up. Also, the New Year doesn’t have to be your start day because we have 7 days in a week to choose from!
Your goals and resolutions are yours! You can and will make them happen, but on your time frame! You got this!
