Week 1 is done! How did I do?

Good morning!

I’m sorry for not posting this weekend but I did stay on plan and got my 3rd walk in! I will include pictures of my food tracking in this post!

The big question, is what were my results from week 1! I lost 3lbs! Woo-hoo!

My plan for Week 2: Is the same as week 1. Stay within my Daily (28) & Weekly (28) points and walk for at least 20 minutes on 3 days. The other thing I focused on this week but didn’t mention is mt Carbs. For me, I lose best if I have no more than 100 Carbs a day. Last week I think I was only ove 100 carbs once.

Just a reminder this is a 70 day/10 week challenge! My plan will likely not fluctuate much because this is what works for me! At some point I will add in more activity.

Be Peaceful!

Welcome 2024! What does a New Year mean to you?

Happy New Year! I hope you all had nice holidays filled with love, laughter, peace, great people & good food! I know mine were all of the above!

As we enter into a new year, a lot of us reflect on the past year. What we had planned to accomplish versus what we actually accomplished. The changes last year brought, the ups, the downs, the goods, the bads, etc.

For many of us, a new year means a new beginning, a fresh start, a clean slate, etc! For some of us, it’s the first day of season, month, or week! We have so many options to start or restart on our goals!

I personally do not set resolutions but do believe in the power of goals, habits, plans, etc. These things can come from resolutions. I do not believe that we have to wait for a new year to make changes or start working on our goals, but I understand the symbolism.

I do believe that we can’t succeed without starting. I believe that we don’t fail unless we stop trying. A dream is a goal without a plan. The first step to achieving your dreams is to make them a goal by giving them a plan! Then you just have to start on the plan, as many times as needed!

What does the New Year mean to you? Did you set resolutions this year?

Be Peaceful,

Blogtober Day 3: Tasty Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! I hope this post finds you well!

Last Tuesday, after I grocery shopped and put everything up, I did not feel like cooking. I am sure many of you can relate to this. We’ve been trying to eat a little better, so I also knew I did not want take-out. I remembered I had bought a few things for times like this. See below…..

Less than 10 minutes, less than 300 calories, less than 20 carbs, 10 points on WW, less than $10! Delicious! Husband approved!

What do you do when you don’t feel like cooking but also don’t want to eat out? What did you have that was taste recently?

Be Peaceful,

Blogtober Day 2: Motivated Monday

Are you wearing your positive pants?

Hi all! Happy Monday! Just like Monday is a state of mind, so is positivity. We all get to choose what our state of mind is when approaching any day or situation.

I deal with situations on most days in which I have to make the decision to put on my positive pants. It really helps the outcome be much better than my brain originally imagined. For example, I work in a pharmacy part-time. There is this one particular patient that is always grumpy and honestly a little nasty. After my first two encounters with him, I decided that I would be over the top nice to him in the future because I didn’t know what he might be going through. The next few times I saw him, I smiled big and very excitedly greeted him, thanked him for his visit, etc. After a few weeks had passed, I saw him exiting the pharmacy as I was enetering, and he smiled at me and waved! It was very touching and made my day!

Is there a specific day of the week or situation you are dealing with that you need to adjust your mindset? Are you choosing to wear your positivity pants today? I would love your input on this topic. How has changing your mindset/state of mind helped change the outcome of a particular situation?

Be Peacful,

Happy First Day of Fall!

Good morning! I woke up to 63° weather this morning, so I’m enjoying my coffee outside! It is Florida, though, so it won’t last I’ll enjoy what I can.

I wanted to pop by with a quick update. I know I’ve been MIA. Anyone who knows me knows that I believe the more times you try, the better chance you have to succeed. It’s when you stop trying that you fail. With that said, I did restart healthier eating for weight loss on the 6th and am done 5lbs. I do plan to start posting my habit & goal tracking again soon and plan to participate in Blogtober again this year!

I am as determined as ever to reach my goal no matter how many times I have to try. I do plan to meet my weight goal by the end of 2023, though!

As always, I would love to hear from you! What are you working on? Do you have any end of year goals?

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

Week 1……10-Week Challenge

Hi All! I hope you are all having a nice week! I am almost through Week 1 of my 10-Week Challenge! Week 2 starts Saturday, 4/15!

For week 1, I have been creating a rough draft of my daily schedule using this template.
Week 2, I will use this template to tweak and fine-tune my schedule.

During Week 2, I will also make 1 blog post and re-start my focus on food tracking & intake, aiming for Blue Dots 5 out of 7 days. Blue Dots are a Weight Watchers thing. You get a Blue Dot for eating in a healthy range.

I would love to hear from you. Are you making steps towards you long term goals by making small changes?

Have a great weekend, and Be Peaceful!
