No Excuse November Day 5: Sharing Saturday & Sunday!

Weekends Are Made For Sharing!

Welcome to Sharing Saturday & Sunday! I feel like the weekends are made for sharing, so on Saturday I will share my habit tracker to show my progress, my weekend plans, and over time I plan to include a vlog or two. I would love for you to share with me as well!

Habit Tracker!
So far, so good!

I have made a strong start with my habits this week! 4 out of 4 days on all except 1. My goal is 5 out of 7 days!

Weekend plans…… Most of my weekend will be pretty quiet. Laundry, grocery shopping, Hallmark movies on my couch, read a bit, etc.

This evening, I have an event, though, so that will be pretty exciting! The first Saturday of every month, I run my brothers vendor booth at a vendor market, which he runs. I always have a great time and get my social fix.

What about you? Did you set some habits for the week? If so, how are you progressing? What are your plans this weekend? Anything exciting happening or a nice quiet weekend or a bit of both, like me?

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

No Excuse November Day 3: Think about it Thursday

Today is the day! No Excuse! Just Start!

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. – Theodore Roosevelt

Sometimes, we overcomplicate things which inturn causes us to procrastinate or worse…… Never start! What is something you want to do but have talked yourself out of? What is a small step you can take to just start? Think about it?

I always wanted to blog and/or vlog but would always convince myself not to, or when I did try, I would give up too easily. I finally realized that if it was something I wanted to do, then I should just do it and commit to it. I set a date, came up with a plan, and then just started! I proved to me that I could!

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

No Excuse November Day 2: Wellness Wednesday

During Blogtober, we learned about the 8 deminsions of wellness: intellectual, emotional, physical, social, occupational, spiritual, environmental, and financial. We also saw how many of them overlap each other. For No Excuse November, we will share things we are doing or could do to get us towards our wellness goals.

Currently, my main deminsions of focus are intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual. What deminsions are you currently focused on or planning to focus on?

Something I am doing towards my intellectual wellness is my CEs for my pharmacy tech license. I do not currently work in that field; I worked hard for that license and would like to maintain it. Something I look forward to doing is the WordPress courses, to learn how to build this site and grow my audience.

I would love to hear what you are doing to focus on your wellness!

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

No Excuse November Day 1: Tasty Tuesday

Happy November 1st and day 1 of No Excuse November!

We will continue with Tasty Tuesday during November.

Last week, our most tasty meal was a copycat Zuppa Toscana. Here is a link to the recipe I used with a few tweeks: https://bellyfull.net/zuppa-toscana/.

Netties version of CopyCat Zuppa Toscana

The tweeks I made are as follows:

I used ground hot italain sausage, kale instead of spinach, added Mrs. Dash Italian seasoning and added crushed red pepper flakes. I served with cheese toast.

This soup is my husbands favorite at the restraunt, and he said my version was actually better. The leftovers were even better.

If you try this reciepe, please let me know and share any tweeks you make!

What did you have this week that was tasty?

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

Blogtober Day 31: Motivated Monday

Today, instead of sharing a Monday Motavtional quote, I will share what I am motavted to start……… No Excuse November!

No Excuse November! Make the Time, Plan, Check It Off!

For No Excuse November, I am challenging myself to continue to post daily as well as take steps to establish some new habits. The daily posting and the new habits are all in line with my larger goals, both short and long term.

I will continue with themed daily posts, but some of the themes will change to better fit the No Excuse November theme and my planned habits. I will also start to incude some vlogs.

Last Tuesday in my teaser post announcing No Excuse November, I mentioned that one of my goals was better routines, especially for wake-up and bedtime, which will start with early wake-up times. Below are all five habits I will be incorporating throughout November.

  • Wake-up by 5:45 am
  • 20 Minutes Activity
  • Track All Food
  • 15 minutes Personal Growth Reading
  • 30 Minutes Blog/Vlog Work/Research

My goal is to complete each habit 5 out of 7 days. Below is the tracker I will be using.

I hope you will join me in No Excuse November, while we elimate excuses in order to work towards our goals and habits. Share in the comments what habits or goals you are working towards and any steps you plan to take to get there.

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

Blogtober Day 30: Step it up sunday

Simple steps we can take while preparing for the week to take it to the next level………

My weekend was pretty busy, so my time to prep for the week was limited. I knew I really had to utilize my time wisely. Sunday morning, I made waffles for breakfast. I decided to double the recipe, so I would have a couple extra for later in the week. Since I cook breakfast every morning, I knew this would save me some time during the week, therefore making my mornings smoother.

For waffles and pancakes, I like to use Millville Protein with Oats mix from Aldi’s. I like to add egg whites (1/3 cup per batch) to add more protein and make them a little fluffier. Sometimes, I add chopped peacans and chocolate chips (bake believe or lily’s brand).

What was something you did last weekend to prepare for the workweek?

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

Blogtober Day 29: Spooky Saturday

For our last Spooky Saturday of Blogtober, we will talk about the Winchester House……..

Winchester Mystery House

The Winchester House: There are lots of stories surrounding this house that can never be completed. Sarah Winhester, heir to Winchester firearms, bought this large house and began renovations immediately. Legand has it that work continued 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and only stopped after her death. The reasons she insisted on this continuous work being done on the house differ. The most popular store is that the ghost of people killed by a Winchester firearm would show up and need somewhere to live, so she was building them rooms.

Have you heard this story before? If so, why do you believe she continued building on the house? There is a movie, too!, have you seen it? I guess he house offers tours too. https://winchestermysteryhouse.com/sarahs-story/

Be peaceful,
