Blogtober Day 16: Step It Up Sunday

Simple steps we can take while preparing for the week to take it to the next level……..

I am not a big meal planner or meal prepper. I do like to have an idea of a couple meals I might make through the week but no concret days.

Something I do like to do to step up my week is either buy pre-preped veggies or pre-prep fresh veggies for the week.

Example: I typycally buy frozen tri-pepper and onion mix, large packages of fresh spinach, and zuchinni that I will cut up* so it’ll be ready to use.

What are some smal steps you take to level up your week?

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

*I like to cut in thin slices and dice so I can use different ways.

Blogtober Day 9: Step It Up Sunday

Preparing for the work week so we can take it to the next level……..

Last week, I mentioned that I like to do laundry and grocery shop on Sundays, which helps take my week to the next level.

To take these 2 steps to the next level………

While folding laundry, I pair a couple outfits together.

While making my grocery list, I plan a couple simple meals I can make through the week.

Share with us a simple step you take that helps take your week to the next level.

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie

Blogtober Day 5: Wellness Wednesday

What does Wellness mean to you?

Per Oxford Languages, Wellness is the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.

Per Wikipedia, Wellness is a state beyond absence of illness but rather aims to optimize well-being (quality of life).

The original six dimensions of wellness included intellectual, emotional, physical, social, occupational, and spiritual wellness. Later environmental and financial wellness were added to make eight dimensions of wellness.

Each week we will dive a little deeper into 2 dimensions and discuss ways to achieve or maintain wellness in that dimension.

Week 1:

Intellectual: Brain health, learning, creativity, memory, knowledge, skills.

Emotional: Coping, identifying personal feelings and handling them. Controlling feelings and behaviors, overcoming obstacles. National Institutes of Health describe emotional wellness as “the ability to successfully handle life’s stresses and adapt to change and difficult times” (NIH, 2018)

So, what are somethings we can do to achieve or maintain our intellectual and emotional wellness? Share in the comments.

I love to learn and read often which I think can be helpful to both dimensions.

Be Peaceful,

~Nettie
